In 1969 and 11 yrs old , I started working my dads jigsaw making wooden puzzle pins of peoples names on his workbench. Being raised near Woodstock, NY. My mom and dad surrounded us in an creative antique environment but with a creative sense as well. My father encouraged me and helped me to get a business. My mom taught me fashion and antique history as she was a professional singer in the NYC and Woodstock crowd. I was the original steam punk/grunge/button queen. I used plumbing hardware, stuff from garbage or tossed out metal pieces, old coat buttons and estate sales. I roamed the trash days on Tuesdays and the estate/ yard sales. I gathered antiques and jewelry to start my own “business”. I sold at the flea markets at Highland Falls NY, Woodstock NY, New Paltz NY, the White Elephant in Ct, Newburgh NY. I had shops in New York , Georgia and Virginia and did a lot of commission work. I made and repaired jewelry for others and formed a company with my girlfriend called Moon Station Beaders. I now sell on social media: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Facebook groups, Etsy and eBay. I have two physical locations where you can see and touch my art, antiques and jewelry . I can do custom orders and have individual, public or private bead classes as well as sell supplies!
